By using our site, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. In order to provide you with full access to the services and materials on the site that you request, we will need information that personally identifies you.   • Information you provide to us on surveys about your experience with TDS, and outside parties, so that we may better serve you.

Information Automatically Logged

When you visit our site, some information may be automatically collected as part of the software operation of this site. This information may include:

Information Use and Disclosure

Within TDS

Personal identifying information that you provide to gain full access to our services will be maintained in our database, and such information may also be accessible by a licensed financial professional within the advisor network of TDS. If you choose to provide this information, financial professionals may be able to determine your particular needs with respect to financial planning and respond by presenting free resources and tools to you. Such financial professionals are independent of TDS and are not the employees, agents or representatives of TDS.

With Outside Parties or
Companies

If you register on the TDS website, personal information and the financial information you provide may be forwarded by TDS to an independent licensed financial professional.

Any personal identifying information will be used only for the purposes for which it was provided and for related purposes and, except as described in this Privacy Statement, will not be shared with any other third party. We may share such information in any of the following limited circumstances:

  • We have your consent.
  • We provide such information to trusted businesses or persons for the sole purpose of processing personally identifying information on our behalf.
  • We are required by law or have a good-faith belief that such action is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of TDS or eAgency, its users or the public.
  • As indicated in this Agreement, your information may be provided to licensed financial professionals if you submit your contact information on TDS’s website.

If you have a user account, we may share the information you submit in order to properly serve you and to improve the quality of our services. We will not disclose your account information to other people or non-affiliated companies, except as provided in this Policy or with your consent.

We may store and process your personal information collected on our site in the United States or any other country in which the party contracted by TDS to support the site maintains facilities. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information among these facilities, including those located outside the U.S.

Not all content on the site is provided by TDS. Our site uses third-party content providers and links to enhance the usefulness and breadth of our publication offerings. Some content providers require an account on their site to identify you while using their site. An example of this would be a personal email account or calendar. When you register through the TDS web site, a separate account may also be created on the site of the content provider.

The username and password you use to access your TDS account is not shared with any third party content provider. If the content provider on our site requires you to establish an account on their site, your account will be with the content provider and it is recommended that you use a different username and password from that used to access TDS’s sites.

Demographic and profile data is also collected at our site. This information is shared with advertisers on an aggregate basis.

This site supplements the information that you provide with information that is received from third parties. Address information is compared with databases of third parties which compile data relating to change of addresses. This improves the accuracy of our records. In addition, address information may be enhanced with known demographic data for your postal zip code and/or census block.

Cookies

We collect information through the use of “cookies.” Cookies are pieces of data assigned by a web server to the browser on your computer. Cookies help web sites recognize return visitors. So, when a user returns to a web site he or she has visited before, the browser gives this data back to the server. Our site uses cookies to store user preferences, such as, a username, so the customer doesn’t have to re-enter this information each time the site is visited. Registration Forms

To gain full access to the services on our site, users are required to register for the services by providing personally identifying information (name, email, phone number, and address). Additional services on the site allows users to submit and store financial information (such as, bank account or credit card numbers), unique identifiers (social security number), and demographic information (zip code, age, or income level). Such information is provided as a courtesy to the user for storing important information in a secure database and certain personally identifying information (name, phone number, address, email address, asset diversification information) is provided to a licensed financial professional designated by TDS to provide the services requested by the user.

Unique identifiers (such as social security numbers) provided by users are used to verify the user’s identity, and for use as account numbers in our record system.

Order Forms/Surveys

Our site uses order forms and surveys to allow users to request information, products, and services. We collect personal information (name, email address, and account information) to respond to user requests for products and financial services.
